Bag makers like making presents for friends and family. Instead of buying packaging or a box, how about making a box bag to present your gifts? There are two styles for you to choose from, the tie cord top, or grab handle.

Supplies:

Due to the small size of this bag, I recommend quilting cotton as an ideal fabric. Canvas is also great and more experienced sewists may want to give cork or vinyl a try. Whatever fabrics you decide to use, make sure theyre suitable for your sewing machine. For domestic machines, its usually best to stick with cotton, especially for your first bag.
